The division 2 sales12/17/2023 ![]() I just wish it had more interesting enemies than the ones we got in the first game. Alot of the times I forgot there even was a deadly virus because it didn't effect the gameplay/world all that match nor the story.įar as being a loot/bullet sponge shooter, yes I knew that 's what it was. The whole virus thing hardly had any effect on the game world itself and it didn't feel dangerous like it should have been lore-wise. That's why I started skipping them as I was already about halfway through the game. I listened to the dialogue and story bits for about 10 hours, and it was going nowhere It remained completely boring. I'm curious what true open world RPG's you'd take over Odyssey cause I just was looking at the true open world RPG's of this gen and there aren't actually as many as I thought there were. But Odyssey is clearly a truer open world RPG, a genre I enjoy a lot. Odyssey certainly uses some traditional Ubi elements and elements of other open world games that aren't true RPG's. Odyssey is distinctly free of those elements so when Odyssey is lumped in with those games it makes me question if people actually played them because Odyssey differs greatly in intent, structure, narrative, and pacing. Division, Wildlands, and Breakpoint all follow the GAAS template of boring loot, no story, copy paste sidequests devoid of any interesting story or characters, and grinding the same missions over and over. Far Cry follows the same Far Cry formula from 3 except massively watered-down. I just think while not unique Origins and Odyssey pretty much nail the template, and it's clearly not the same template as Division, Far Cry, Wildlands, or Breakpoint.
